Forrester cites Contextor as a “Contender” for Robotic Process Automation

The Robotic Process Automation landscape is growing rapidly, as more and more companies are now understanding the benefits of RPA for their business operations. An Independent Research report evaluated 12 software vendors amongst 28 criteria and named Contextor as a Contender in Robotic Process Automation evaluation.

Contextor was among the select companies that Forrester invited to participate in its 2017 Forrester Wave™ evaluation for Robotic Process Automation. In this evaluation, Contextor’s highest scores are for “Bot development and core functions”, “Architecture” and “Breadth of use case”. We think it reflects the fact that Contextor, being a pioneer in “attended RPA” also called RDA (Robotic Desktop Automation), has a strong positioning in that field.

Forrester states that “Contextor is an integrated development environment that targets agility. The Contextor solution is deployed in back or front office, including point of sales and branch-office use cases[…].  It is most suitable for advanced enterprises or integration partners leveraging the flexibility to add value.”

According to Forrester Research, “RPA is gaining the interest of enterprises, as many are under immense pressure to digitize operations”. The research firm forecasts that the RPA market will reach $2.8 billion by 2021.

The robotic process automation (RPA) market is heated — but to be sustained, RPA must offer more than plugging gaps in legacy systems according to Forrester

This reinforces our argument, says Thierry Petrens, Kleptika’s CEO, that RDA / Attended RPA is a much more sustainable market because the workstation is not about to simplify itself … and the gains that can be made there are greater and faster. Contextor is all about agility, and its extensive experience and installed base of clients is a strong point of differentiation, which can even position Contextor as complementary solution to RPA pure players. Our RDA solution brings automation directly to the agent workstation to improve end-to-end processes.
